It’s no secret that Kendrick Lamar has been busy on the music scene.
In 2017, he released a mixtape titled The Good, the Bad and the Ugly which earned him multiple Grammy nominations, and a collaboration with Miguel.
Since then, he’s released several solo projects as well as collaborative albums with fellow rappers including Kendrick Lamar, TDE and Jay-Z.
However, his latest effort, Humble, is shaping up to be the biggest release of the year.
The album was recorded in 2017, and is currently on a tour.
On top of that, he also recently dropped a new single called “The Heist,” which he dropped during his appearance on the BET Hip Hop Awards.
However it doesn’t stop there.
It was revealed last week that Kendrick will be performing on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time ever in the next few weeks.
It’s a great step for Kendrick, as his upcoming album, To Pimp a Butterfly, is a big-selling album.
The single “I Am” is just the tip of the iceberg for the record, as the rest of the album is just as epic as Kendrick’s previous effort.
However as of now, there are only two songs that will make the Billboard Top 100, and they’re the two that make up the first track of the new album, “Humble.”
The song was released last week and has been dominating the charts for quite some time now.
With “Humbles” on the top of the Hot 100 and “I am” being the first song off of To Pimper a Butterfly to reach No. 1, it’s clear that this is Kendrick Lamar finally making a mark on the charts.
But with To Pimb a Butterfly on the way and “Humbled” sitting on the Hot Rap Songs chart, we have to take it all with a grain of salt.
The good news is that it will be Kendrick Lamar.
The bad news is it won’t be the first album he’s done, and it certainly won’t last for that long.
This album will likely be Kendrick’s last in a while.
It won’t see the light of day for a long while.
The new album is expected to hit the Billboard charts sometime in 2019.
